"I was born and raised in San Diego, California. Before I was a restauranteur, I had a safe career in the investment and finance world. One day, out of the blue, my good friend gave me a call and simply said “check out Kona Ice, then call me!” After a few minutes of poking around on their website, I experienced my epiphany. I called up my friend and we became business partners in the making. A few days after the initial excitement, my friend backed out from our new venture due to unexpected challenges. I thought the Kona Ice dream would be put on hold. But the next thing we knew, my wife was inspired by my passion for this project and she volunteered to be my partner in crime. We were back in business, and the dream was born! Today my truck serves the greater Woodland Hills area and beyond. I work with hundreds of friendly faces and smiles every day and could not be happier. I am excited every day to put big smiles on happy faces, but most of all I am very happy that we are able to contribute to this great community.
